Studio Moniker
Moniker is an Amsterdam based design studio founded in 2012 by Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey and Roel Wouters. With Moniker, which means nickname or pseudonym, we work on commissioned design projects while also investing in projects of an autonomous and experimental nature. The studio works across various media for a diverse range of clients ranging from those in the cultural field to commercial companies. With our projects, we explore the social effects of technology – how we use it and how it influences our daily lives. Often, we ask the public to take part in the development of our projects. The resulting projects expand and grow like plants, dip laying their inner organisational process. Moniker specialises in interactive, print, video, physical installation and performance based work.
Karst-Janneke Rogaar
Karst-Janneke Rogaar lives and works in Amsterdam. Karst-Janneke is specialised in live drawing in theater with music ensembles like The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra. “The combination of drawing on paper and acting on stage for a live audience is a bit like biathlon. This contrast between the extravert physicality
of acting and the introvert concentration of drawing on paper is the kind of masochism I like!” She is an inspiring educator, she taught illustration at ArtEZ Zwolle, gave workshops in e.g. Sao Paolo, Brasil. Last year the book Spinder she illustrated won the “Gouden Griffel.”
Workshop
Auf einer Wand wurde ein Raster aufgezeichnet welcher von uns mit Form gefüllt werden sollte. Innerhalb von einer Minute sollte eine Fläche von 10x10 cm gefüllt werden, und die Umliegenden Linien weiterführen. Durch das Ausgeklügeltes System mit unterschiedlichen Flizstiftdicken kombiniert mit einem gewissen Zeitdruck ergab eine dynamisches Fläche.
